Education
Jane left school in 1952 but she had no way to afford University. She learned how to be a secretary and worked for some time at Oxford University typing documents. She, later on, worked for a London filmmaking company, choosing music for documentaries. A childhood friend of Goodall invited her to South Kinangop, Kenya in late 1950's. Through other friends of Goodall, she met Louis Leakey a famed anthropologist and got her a Ph.D. in ethology from Cambridge University in 1965.
